As a chiropractor in North London, I treat patients who can benefit from incorporating exercise into their daily routine but feel they have to join a gym, or run 20 miles a day to benefit from it.
However, for most I recommend starting out by taking the most underrated form of exercise which is walking.
Walking is one of the easiest ways to get active, lose weight and become healthier. Another great advantage is that it is free.
You may be surprised at the number of great places there are to go walking around Muswell Hill and surrounding areas of North London. Here are a few areas that I recommend as a chiropractor in North London to patients.
These include places such as Alexandra Park, Hampstead Heath or alternatively a 12 mile borough wide walk, known as the Better Haringey Trail.
Just on our doorstep in Muswell Hill is Alexandra Park. The Park is conveniently located for the surrounding areas of Finchley, Highgate, Crouch End, Southgate, Enfield and Wood Green.
The Better Haringey Trail which is a 12 mile borough wide circular walk. The trail connects many sites of historical and environmental importance in the borough. It takes in Bruce Castle, Wood Green, Highgate , Finsbury Park and Tottenham Hale and is 19 km or 12 miles long. Don’t worry, you can take shorter walks within the trail and there is plenty of public transport.
Why not get out and get going this Spring, however, you may want to let the smog clear first!
